Rotavirus gastroenteritis can cause severe dehydration and electrolyte imbalance, but it is usually known to be localized in the gastrointestinal system as a self-limited infection. Recently various series have reported neurologic findings associated with rotavirus. Etiology of the neurologic involvement has nat been clarified yet. We describe a case of encephalopathy and Todd’s paralysis associated with rotavirus gastroenteritis. This case demonstrates that rotavirus infection should also be kept in mind in the presence of encephalopathy and seizure concomitant with acute diarrhea in childhood. Anahtar Kelimeler : rotavirus, ensefalopati, Todd paralizisi, rotavirus, encephalopathy, Todd’s paralysis
