The aim of this article series is to evaluate Tadbīr al-Mawlūd, which was accepted as one of the earliest and privileged books written on the pregnant and the children by Şaban Şifai of Ayaş in the Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the 18th century in portions and to present its transliteration of contemporary Turkish alphabet to readers and bring it in the literature of Turkish history of medicine. A microfilm of one of the autograph copies of Tadbīr al-Mawlūd, nr. Mf 1994 A 3887, which is available in the Ankara National Library and was copied from Istanbul Suleymaniye Manuscript Library, Mihrişah Sultan Collection, nr. 344 was studied. Sections of the praying God and the reason for writing the book and the prologue of Tadbīr al-Mawlūd were considered in the article and transliterations of these portions were added to the article. Eight chapters and the epilogue of Tadbīr al-Mawlūd will be studied in the next articles, respectively. First, related sections will be presented and then their transliterations will be attached to the articles. Since some chapters of Tadbīr al-Mawlūd are long, these ones will be discussed in portions in themselves.
