The Baseline Study was conducted at the same place with a selected 3120 households in 2006; they were reached again and totally 3038 households with 1250 children were included in the study Body weight and height were compared with World Health Organization (WHO) criteria, and those below -2 SD were accepted as malnutrition. Chi-square, one way ANOVA and Tukey tests (post-hoc) were performed. Prevalences of malnourished and stunted children were 4.5% and 13.7%, respectively. Malnutrition and stunted rates were higher in those aged 0-6 years and after 24 months. Stunted children prevalence was significantly higher according to the age gap with an older sibling (less than 24 months), maternal education (primary school or lower) and household income (less than hunger borderline and minimum wage). Current malnourished and stunted children prevalences were higher than rates according to the Turkish Population and Health Research 2008 data. Anahtar Kelimeler : malnütrisyon, çocuklar.
