Başkent Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi 1Neonatoloji Uzmanı,2 Pediatri Doçenti The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between glucose- 6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) activity and gestational age in infants with neonatal hyperbilirubinemia. This study included 520 term (290 male, 230 female) and 122 preterm (71 male, 51 female) neonates with indirect hyperbilirubinemia over a five-year period. Because of only two newborn <29 week statistically analysis couldn’t performed in this group. The analysis of the results showed that in both genders, the G6PD activity was similar between newborns with gestational ages of 29–32 weeks (n: 30), 33–36 weeks (n: 90) and ≥37 weeks (n: 520). Anahtar Kelimeler : G6PD aktivitesi, gebelik yaşı.
