The Treasure of Khwarazm Shah was translated into Turkish by Abu al-Fazl Mehmed Defteri on behalf of grand vizier Rüstem Pasha during the reign of Sultan Süleyman I, the lawgiver. The aims of this study are to present and evaluate the chapters on pediatrics in the above-mentioned work. A Turkish translated copy of Treasure of Khwarazm Shah, which is preserved in the İstanbul Süleymaniye Manuscript Library, Nuruosmaniye collection, No.: 3574 (34 Nk 3574), and a Persian copy of Treasure of Khwarazm Shah, stored in Edirne Selimiye Manuscript Library, No.: 4721 (22 Sel 4721), were examined in this study. The Turkish text on pediatrics in the Nuruosmaniye collection, No.: 3574, was transliterated into the contemporary Turkish alphabet, and this text was compared to the Persian copy. A text was prepared in contemporary Turkish and presented in the findings section of the article. The section on pediatrics in the Treasure of Khwarazm Shah includes chapters on neonatal care, breastfeeding, choosing a nursing mother, weaning, teething, pediatric diseases and their treatments, and care of the child after weaning. The text on pediatrics in Treasure of Khwarazm Shah by Jorjani has similarities as well as differences from that contained in the Canon of Medicine by Avicenna. The main difference between the two works is that they were written in different languages, despite being written in the same geographic area. While Avicenna preferred Arabic, which was the scientific language of his era, Jorjani chose Persian, which was the native language of the region in which he lived.
