Abstract
Congenital prepyloric web is a rare cause of gastric outlet obstruction. Esophageal contrast barium study or ultrasonography should be used for the diagnosis, because of their high diagnostic value. In the literature, there are limited cases in which the diagnosis was made by surgical exploration after the observation of gastric dilatation and gasless abdomen on radiographic images. In this report, we present a prepyloric web case, diagnosed by surgery performed after the plain radiography in order to evaluate the etiology of vomiting in a preterm infant.
