Abstract

The most common cause of immune hydrops fetalis is Rhesus immunization. Due to closely monitored pregnancies and anti-D immune prophylaxis during pregnancy in developed countries, the frequency of hydrops fetalis secondary to Rh immunization has decreased and subgroup incompatibility has gained importance. Kell subgroup is the most common subgroup and anti-Kell antibodies are one of the common causes of fetal and neonatal immune hydrops and anemia. This paper will be presenting two cases of immune hydrops fetalis caused by Kell subgroup incompatibility.
