Gastroschisis is a rare congenital anomaly. In this disease, the abdominal organs are found to be outside due to abdominal anterior wall defect. Environmental, familial, genetic and multifactorial factors are being accused in the pathogenesis of the disease. The exact cause of the disease is unknown yet. In this article, a newborn patient with gastroschisis born from nonconsangineous parents, who had a history of gastroschisis in his family is presented.
