Abstract

In this article we present a newborn with surrenal hemorrhage which was established on the basis of further investigations due to persistent hyperbilirubinemia despite a 24-hour phototherapy treatment and excluding all other causes of significant hiperbilirubinemia. Surrenal hemorrhage is one of the rare causes of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia and should be considered especially in cases refractory phototherapy treatment.
