Abstract
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is a common condition that may progress to end stage liver disease. It is closely associated with obesity and insulin resistance, both of which are dramatically increasing in prevalence in children. This could potentially make non-alcoholic fatty liver disease the most common liver disease in the pediatric population. In this paper, we review the epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical presentation, diagnosis and management of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in children.
