Abstract
Muzafferüddin Kökböri, the head of Erbil Principality (Atabeylik), was a famous Turkish statesman in the XIIth century. He was reknown world-wide for his important social achievements, a great part of which involved his special activities in opening the child care center and a variety of reformatories for abandoned children as well as other social institutions such as mosque, guesthouse and hospital in the Erbil Principality. He also provided wet-nurses for orphan babies.
