Abstract

Angiogenesis is a complex biologic process that occurs normally in development and in turnover and remodeling of mature vascular networks. Pathological angiogenesis and neovascularization occur in association with tumor growth and metastasis, developmental disorders, and ischemic diseases. The role of angiogenesis in hematological diseases remains unknown. We evaluated angiogenesis and antiangiogenic therapy in hematologic diseases.
